Universally Compatible Gas Cooker Bayonet Socket Blanking Plug 1/2 inch SBP12

This blanking plug is made for the standard UK 1/2 inch gas cooker bayonet socket. It measures 3.4cm by 3.4cm by 3cm.

When a gas cooker is disconnected and taken out, the bayonet socket it was connected to is left open and has to be closed off properly. A blanking plug seats into the bayonet point in place of the cooker hose and seals the outlet, which allows the gas supply to remain live for other appliances on the same run rather than the whole supply being capped at the meter.

Safety information. Work on gas fittings in the UK is legally restricted to Gas Safe registered engineers. This part must be fitted and soundness tested by a registered engineer and must not be fitted by the householder. If you smell gas, turn off the supply at the meter, do not operate electrical switches, and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999.
