Description

This 20 metre mains lead with a fitted UK three pin plug is made for Flymo lawnmowers and garden appliances.

Cable damage is the most common fault on any mains powered garden tool. Leads get run over, snagged on fencing, trapped in gates and left out in the weather until the outer sheath perishes, and any of that exposes the conductors inside. A damaged mains lead on a machine used outdoors on wet grass is a serious shock risk and must be replaced rather than repaired with tape or a connector block.

Electrical safety. This is a mains component and fitting must be carried out by a competent person in accordance with current UK wiring regulations. Isolate the appliance at the socket before starting any work. If you are in any doubt, have the lead fitted by a qualified electrician or an appliance engineer.

Key Features:

  • Do Not Write Off A Mower Over A Cut Cable - Running over the lead is the most common way a mains garden tool dies, and the machine itself is very often perfectly sound underneath
  • A Damaged Lead Is A Real Risk - Nicked or perished cable on a tool used outdoors on wet grass exposes live conductors, and it must be replaced rather than patched with tape or a connector block
  • Full 20 Metre Working Reach - Covers an average garden from one indoor socket, so there is no extension reel dragged across the lawn to trip over or to run over a second time
  • Competent Person Installation Only - This is a mains electrical component. Fitting must be carried out by a competent person in line with current UK wiring regulations, with the appliance isolated first
